He was about 6th in command under Capt Albert Bradish.⁴ He married Emily Vincent before 1870.³ Nelson Demereau was Carpenter. in 1870 at Gardner Township, Door, Wisconsin.³ He Williamsonville was logging and sawmill town apparently started by French Canadians from De Pere. in 1871.¹ He died on 8 October 1871 at Williamsonville, Door, Wisconsin; Died in Peshtigo fire along with entire family.¹
